It's funny, around 27-28 minutes, I noticed you were an inch short on your measurement and I was shocked until I realized you did it intentionally to make a point 😅

Hey! I have an older super split I picked up used and dead and rebuilt everything. I put a 7hp Robin motor on it and the thing splits faster than I can keep up with, I absolutely love it and couldn’t live without it! I love that it’s made in the US and I can easily still get parts for it also, they’re a great company. BTW your pre hung door installation and hinge adjustment videos have been an immense help to me recently, they’re extremely well done and easy to follow. I just want to say thank you!! Thank you! I have watched so many videos on this topic. This is the first one that explains the HAP measurement and how it affects the placement of the ridge beam. So many other videos will cut an arbitrary size of birds mouth and do not tell you the implications it has.

Do you offer course anywhere? I'm in Canada but will travel anywhere in the USA to learn more. Getting serious about handrails. I have a background in mechanical engineering technology from 20 years ago but need refreshers on the CAD aspect and hoping to get hands on carving as well. Great video, thank you!

I feel so stupid from all the years I made excuses for not being able to produce perfect cuts on irregular circumstances where I should have been able to correct the problem. God forgive me. I get it now ! Don’t ever think you know it all because you don’t. We can all learn something beneficial everyday if we just pay attention and look for the lesson that might come our way
